The Walkerton Livery

About Us

The Walkerton Livery is the original Kilmer Livery Stable, built in 1873. This was one of the only downtown properties to survive the “Big Fire” in Walkerton of 1877 unscathed.

Earl Sternall and his family lived in the building and operated their plumbing business out of it for two generations. Glenn, his son, added several residential rental units in addition to warehouse and shop space, replacing the actual livery barn.

The building currently has a combination of short and long term rental units in addition to warehouse space.
